Her Majesty's Bark Endeavour is a modern day replica of Lt. James Cook's famous ship which took him and his crew on a charting and discovery expedition to New Zealand and Australia during 1768-1771.
I stumbled on the opportunity to photograph her through a sponsor ad for the companies that supported the similar Swedish Eastindiaman replica project in Gothenburg. The society arranged a morning trip where a small ship went out to greet the Endeavour as it approached the Port of Gothenburg early in the morning. Since this was a completely unscheduled opportunity I quickly ran out of film and missed the spectacular scene where a tugboat showered her with water creating a wonderful rainbow effect. :(
