Gothenburg today, no snow but still quite cold. The trees are covered in hoarfrost.

A little girl is skating on a pool of water in the bog close to Gunnestorp.

Ce doit être un plaisir, même s'il fait froid, pour la petite fille de patiner sur ce qui semble être un joli lac avec de magnifiques petites îles. Les habits de couleurs attirent l'attention et ont un bon impact sur la beauté de la photo. J'aime beaucoup l'arrière-plan avec les arbres givrés et le beau contraste avec le vert.

Hello Gunnar,
A very beautiful nature picture composed in different horizontal layers.
The smaller trees with the most hoarfrost stand out well against the dark forest behind them.
The frozen water of the bog creates a beautiful natural skating rink.

Great photo but to me it looks freezing!!! I like the skeletal trees in the background and the two figures giving a great splash of colour. It's difficult to believe that there are conditions like this in Sweden yesterday when we are sweltering in our hottest Summer month down here in New Zealand. Cheers, Neil

Good shot and a bit of observation well spotted. I do like the composition, that splash of stunning red brightens the frosty tones environmnet for it does add to what would be just an ordinary image. I like her strides and the parallel lines of the bodies and the way they are walking into the distance. Lots of details and superbly exposed, excellent tones and contrast. Well seen and taken

The icy surface looks treacherous!
Having said that, what an attractive couple they are, with their colourful clothes and their obvious body language. They are strongly positioned and show up perfectly against the greys and soft greens.

The touch of red against the cold, sombre background is so wonderful. I especially liked the position of the feet of the two figures which depicts movement. The fine white trees in the middle against the almost black backdrop is beautiful to look at.

Hej Gunnar,
Det här var verkligen en fin bild, inte bara för personernas slagkraftiga färger. Naturen är riktigt vacker med sina mjuka toner av beige och grönt, allt täckt av fin frost. Det är också fin balans mellan den ljusgrå isen och det mörka skogsbrynet och ett vackert centralt parti däremellan. Tur att ni tvingades ta bilen i söndags så att ni lätt tog er ut ur stan.

Trevlig bild som får mig att tänka på när jag själv skulle lära ungarna att åka skridskor, eller när man åkte med kompisarna så fort det frös till:)De röda kläderna är verkligen i ögonfallande här i det frusna landskapet, snygga lager av växtlighet ger ett fint djup i bilden. En fin vinterbild!

Ja, dieses Foto strahlt Kälte aus - und eine ganz besondere Stimmung. Alle Farben in der Natur sind gedämpft und zurückhaltend winterlich. Die roten Kleidungsstücke könnten keinen stärkerenn Kontrast bieten. Auch die dunkle Wand des Waldes kontrastiert hier stark mit der hellen Eisfläche.
Aber die gesamte Stimmung hier macht das Bild aus ... es gefällt mir sehr gut! Irgendwie eindrucksvoll!
Grüße aus dem noch recht kalten Siegen (-10°C heute morgen) - und einen schönen Sonntag für euch beide!

En påpassligt tagen och välkomponerad bild. Personerna är väldig väl placerade och även om de inte hade varit klädda i rött skulle de ha varit i blickfånget. Du har också fångat stämningen en kall men snöfattig vinter dag som lämpar sig för skridskoåkning på naturis. Ha en bra söndag!

The two figures in red are splendid against the frost and ice and very well placed within the frame. The ice must be thick if people are skating on it. The smaller trees picked out by the frost look delicate and stand out against the darker grey BG.

This is a beautifully sharp and clear picture with amazing details and some lovely colours. Your composition is excellent with the bright red clothing of mother and child perfectly placed in the frame. The frosted trees make a fine background to this interesting image.

I presume that this ice must be sufficiently thick as not to be dangerous for skaters: so far this year it has not been thick enough here in Scotland to allow for this sort of activity.

Un bon travail fidèle au conditions d’éclairage de la prise de vue. Une gestion des couleurs, avec lequel tu as obtenu un résultat magnifique. J'adore surtout une belle délicatesse des teintes de ces arbres qui ont l'air calciné et squelettique.

I love the way this picture has been composed with three distinct horizontal layers of moody natural colours and sharp textures that act as a backdrop to the two vividly coloured figures. I also love the sense of depth that seems to be enhanced by the way the light falls upon the scenery. The postures of the little girl and her mother (probably) who's helping her are eloquent and tell us a nice little story. Congratulations and thank you!
