Photographer's Note
This is at the Gothenburg Museum of Art and a special exhibition of illustrations for children´s books.
These girls are admiring some illustrations by Bertil Almqvist (1902-1972) from his books about "Barna Hedenhös" ("The Stone Age Kids").
I wish to dedicate this photo to Wolfgang Schanze (wolf38) whose many pictures from art galleries have inspired me.

Hej Gunnar,
Although we can't see much of the drawings they serve their purpose of providing colours and shapes and a background to the two girls. The light has a nice pink and blue tone which creates a cosy atmosphere. The dedication is very reasonable.

Olá Gunnar,
very interesting this scene, it seems they are trying to understand the ideas of the artist here, which at times is a pretty tall order.

HI Gunnar!
I like museums and I like to photograph there art combined with visitors.
Here I like the women`s poses, discussing what they see and the light effect at the wall.
(It looks a bit oversharpened ,the thin white lines around their trousers, the sometimes poor museum light.....)

I remember having read one review which states that G10 has outstanding wide angle capabilities making it perfect for interiors. Your shot is the testimony to that review. Against a bright background, you have not only got the well lit but also the well exposed image and that's a big difference. I compliment you for this. With auto mode and the metering mode as pattern, the image will always be beautiful.
Don't know what made the seasoned photographer think of placing the subjects more near the center then placing them at 1/3rd.
TFS Gunnar.

Hello Gunnar,
This is indeed very reminiscent of the work of Wolfgang Schanze. I like very much the soft lighting across the paintings and the pink tinged walls. Also, the contrasting 'poses' of the two girls.

Hi Gunnar. I have just seen your photo of the art exhibition. Yes, these shows are interesting because you can look at the art and people watching. This is also an opportunity for photographers. The two young ladies are placed perfectly in front of the art. Well done. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Hello Gunnar,
I have not yet attempted inside art gallery shots but like you have been inspired by Wolfgang's pictures. You have done very well with this one. The two girls are clearly unaware of you and concentrating on one picture. The light is moody, and the floor is gently reflecting it giving a lovely sheen. I like the way that the girls break the symmetry of the hung pictures. Very well done.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Gunnar,
Your photograph is very well composed, with horizontal layers to give that sense of composition, but they merely set a lovely context for those girls, who completely steal the show! Their body language just radiates from the shot. You can almost hear the dialogue!
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Gunnar,
I like the naturalness of this scene in terms of composition, lighting and colours. You have captured it with remarkable sharpness and have given it good depth. It's only the art, the two visitors and the light. It's a very nice effect that the girl on the right is facing the lit works of art and wall while is not affected by the light at all. I also like how we can guess their expressions and thoughts by their postures. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hello Gunnar,
Very nice capture from an art's gallery.
Good pov and perfect ligth management. Captures from art galleries is also one of my favorite themes. Specially if you can include the visitors (the viewers) in the scenery as well. And you've managed it here perfectly.
TFS and best regards

Hi Gunnar
have you noticed how the floor boards actually provide height!
if you look closely, the long vertical lines make the scene have an upwards appearance.
really cool.
I'm sure Wolfgang will appreciate it :)
cheers

Hallo Gunnar!

I really like the balance of the vertical figures against the horizontal row of artwork. Nicely capture. It really looks very Swedish in the best possible way.

Hej Gunnar,
