Photographer’s Note
About the photo its actually colour but due the circumstances and the weather conditions it apper to look like b/w.
Yesterday I had one of my many trips from Jönköping to Malmö. This winter has been upside down (as last summer). Nomaly we have lots of snow and a fairly long wintwer. However now the spring flower is displaing themselves. Two days ago the spring season had to take a step back and we had some snow just in time to easter holidays.
This photo is taken just north of the village Lagan. The river is also named Lagan and is far mor known in Sweden du to its one of 4 major rivers in southern Sweden.
From Wikipedia we can find this info:
Lagan is one of four main westcoast rivers in Sweden. It flows through South and Mid-Sweden. It is with 244 kilometers the longest rivers in southern Sweden.
It starts in Tahesjön outside Taberg in the municipality of Jönköping, flows through Vaggeryd, Värnamo and Ljungby and ends in the town of Mellbystrand in the municipality of Laholm. More specifically, it ends in the Bay of Laholm, a part of the strait of Kattegat.
LaganPeople have been following the river from the coastal areas since the Viking Age and settling in its vicinity. Along Lagan was a trading route, the so called Lagastigen, which is now part of the road E4.

Stefan-
A great example of monochromatic photography. If you look closely, you can see some of the dark green showing through. This shot also exemplifies showing mood and feeling in a photo. Just by looking at this shot, you can feel the coldness of this river.
Thanks, and well done.

Hej Stefan,
Beautiful capture, more suitable in black and white than with "colours" or the obvious lack of colours at this time.
Hälsningar från Göteborg

PS Jag hoppas ni hade det fint i Gbg och inte fastnade i dagens snöoväder. Tyvärr var vi borta på torsdagen.

well stefan
you now how it is ! sometimes you dont really have the time to surf around among all beautiful new TE images,
your image is a typical example on how snow seems to wash away all colors, it must be someting with our eyes that cant take the strong contrast ther becam when snowing and making everything to pure graphic BW,
Glad Påsk Gosse!

A lovely one Stefan, poetic and charming. I love the composition with the vegetation over the water in gentle slope, it has a delicate look. We are experiencing the same, almost spring, with buds flowering, and of a sudden, snow at night and very cold temperatures...
this look very romanting. Good tonality too. I made a ws, for the fun, just contrasting a tiny bit more. Not better, just a slighly different impression.
Have a good week!

Wow, is it in colours? It looked completely BW to me before I read your note. Really well seen and composed, I like this...
