Photographer’s Note
Finally I got slide scanner and have started saving my old diapositives. And there are many fine ones :)
This one shows the cannons at the castle of Kalmar. Late and cold evening of January. Somehow it was strange to walk among these old fortifications and imagine that Baltic sea was full with hostilities not so long ago.

Very simple and nice composition.
The constrast between the red and the black is wonderful.
Thanks for sharing!

Deep red and dark, I like it. I see that the main subject is a cannon, it resembles those used by Spain and Portugal in the XVI-XVIII centuries, where they can be seen in their fortresses for example in South America —at least by the shape of this one.

Wow! This shot is terrible, Gatis. The outline of this cannon drawn by this red twilight is wonderful. The colors set between red and black is hot like the fire of a battle. The framing is perfect and your notes describe well the atmosphere.
Well Done.
