Photographer’s Note

Hello folks.
Just a simple photo from my backyard taken yesterday at round 10 am. We have had a few nights with temperatures below zero. This morning it was -5ºC. I really think the summer has ended now :-). In the WS there is a closer view of the grass. Enjoy the colours of autumn/winter.

Hello Per,

Frozen grasses are created amazing texture and your lower POV adds fantastic view especially with autumn colored tress under clear sky. Shadow of sun clock on green pine tree is very nice catch with additional information of closer look to frozen grasses in your complementary post. We are able to see below 20ºC only in air conditioned areas here, in Suriname. Below 5-10ºC or below 0ºC is available only in deep freeze;) People are getting sick (flue, cold etc.) mostly under 20ºC. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.

what a wonderful view to have in your own backyard. The light is beautiful, the colors clear and rich, I love the contrast in that wonderful blue sky and the autumn tones in the trees. But the grass. Oh my. It looks like icy jewels on the ground. Lovely scene! Many thanks and warmest regards,

I like this almost "winter landscape" :) Nature often brings surprises to us, and it's up to us to capture these nice/beautiful scenes :) Beautiful rich colours; the frozen grass is in a very good balance with the colour of the sky. Very good composition.

Isn't this a typical Nordic autumn scene!
The frost on the lawn, the naked branches and still some coloured foliage, all under a pale blue sky...
