Photographer’s Note
Hello folks.
This is another photo of our beautiful (i.e. in summertime) city, Västervik. This shows the central parts. This photo was taken at the same evening as my resent showed photo of Västervik. It was taken during the music festival that occures every year (since last 41 years!) in the ruins of the castle Stegeborg. At that time the city is crowded with people.
Västervik is a quite old city, the history goes back to the eleventh century! You can read more about Västervik here .The link takes you to Wikipedia. There you can also read that Björn Ulvaeus, the former ABBA-member, is from Västervik and so is Stefan Edberg former World No. 1 professional tennis player.
I didn’t do much pp-work on this photo:

Hello,
a very nice light creating splendid colours. But the problem here might be that the town is somewhat too distant and represents just a narrow band between the sea and sky. I don't know exactly how that could be solved (frequently I have similar problems) - maybe with something of interest occupying left side of the foreground. Now we can see there just a few people and a man, sliced in half. That is surely not very good. Maybe if you would get the shot from somewhat lower position (nearer to the water) and completely cut-out the people and sidewalk and tried to include more grass and other vegetation - maybe. But just some of my thoughts, the warm colours are nevertheless very nice.
Best regards Kristof

Hi , Per .
I think this photo deserves more attention . I like the broad view which gives a fine impression of this romantic town . The light is soft and very pleasant . The white church tower on the right hand side creates a good balance to the tower in the city .
Kindest regards
Dorte.
