Photographer’s Note

The bright time of the year gives a lot of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surrondings of Jönköping. Here is some guys trying their luck by fishing in lake Vättern just where the Huskvarna channel comes out.

In the lake there are at least 31 different fish species and also crayfish. The most common fish species in the lake are: Arctic char, lakerun, grayling, Atlantic salmon, whitefish, perch, pike-perch, pike, eel and bream.

The photo is taken aprox 23 pm an hour after sunset

Nearly more beautiful than necessary :) This reminds of of some picture postcard from the end of the 19th century, National Romantics! The light here is just fantastic!

Hello Stefan,
Getting closer to the artic circle allows you to get a never ending sun set.
The 2 trees on each side give a great frame to the fishermen and this magic sunset on the lake.

Wonderful mood taken in really great light. The magic of the midsummer night is still inside the image. The natural framing with those two trees is very well composed, just as the little boat with the two fisherman inside. Wonderful composed shot with a great gradient in the sky.
Horizon seems a little bit tilted?

If I didn't know it can really look like this one hour before midnight I would have taken this for a well done pp-job. Incredible colours, crystal clear sharpness and a very good composition.

What a lovely contrast picture with to both sides the dark trees.
Also the skyline with the pink colours and the soft blue sky.
The small boat gives a extra dimention to the picture, very well done, TFS.

Wonderful shot with lovely colors. The graduation is excellent and I think you are lucky with the small boat as it gives a nice "live" feeling to your work.
I feel some tilt here but it is not the ocean - so it can be the coastline.

Personaly I think the sunset and the sunrise are the best time of the day to make the most wonderful photo's; the midsummer night must be a chalange.

Nothing much can beat the Nordic summer at its best!
Peaceful evening atmosphere by the lake, where a couple of guys are out trying the luck with the fish...
The view is nicely framed, great colour palette and sharp fine details!

This beautiful shot reminds me of another beautiful sub-arctic sunset I could admire many many years ago from an hotel's window in Huskvarna!
