Photographer’s Note
Hovdala Castle , just south of Hässleholm, close to the shores of Lake Finjasjön , invites visitors to enjoy its simple majesty and discover the heritage of almost 500 years of history. It is almost as if time has stood still here. Between 1665 and 1981 this was the ancestral home of the Ehrenborg family. Today the castle and the Ehrenborg Family Apartments are open to the public with guided tours.
Hovdala Castle is part of Sweden 's cultural heritage. The estate has been entrusted to the Swedish National Property Board, while the Cultural and Leisure Services Committee of the Municipality of Hässleholm is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and administration.

Un ciel qui se fâche sur un paysage environné de bâtiments très anciens, c'est un régal pour les yeux Jack.
J'aime beaucoup la composition générale de la photo, il se dégage une atmosphère un peu inquiétante.
Très bien.
A sky which gets angry on a landscape surrounded with very ancient buildings, it is a delight for eyes Jack.
I like very much the general composition of the photo, he gets free a little bit disturbing atmosphere.
Very well.

Very imminent clouds above the castle Jack, a pity, but this photo is a little unsharp, nevertheless excellent composition, beautiful architecture photo.

The thing I like the most in this image is the framing. The half cut building at the right as well the diagonal it creates add some stress to the composition that forces us to look deep into it. Interesting colors although the brightness in the sky is not completly according to the brightness in the land.

The storm isn't far ! Wonderful light and great contrasts. Good crop that increases the impression that the scene is "crunched" by the heavy sky. Very well captured !

The 6 & 8 in the white wall are not numbers it's reinforce the solidity of the wall
Metalic titem which could have also the shape of X or S ot Z

Very nice one, Jack. The site as such and the perspective you present it from would already be interesting, but the special weather and cloud setting you found really does the trick and adds a great atmospheric touch. Good color contrast, well captured.

Waaw love it (you know I adore all that's old...); great buildings. They are all nicely framed together (only the building on the right is not entirely visible). Nevertheless a good composition in which we see all the buildings. I like how the main building is leading you to the back and how there are different tones of light intensity on the ground due to the cloudy wheather. The clouds themselves make the whole image quite impressive. As stated already, a bit of sharpening would improve it. Nice post, thanks!

Such a dramatic contrast. It makes the sky look so deep and heavy. I like the triangular roof of the lower house. Nice shot, Jack.

The clouds add a wonderful atmosphere to the shot, Jack. Together with the lovely green foreground, they contrast nicely with the 'white' castle. Well framed.

Your lighting is very unusual in this photo. You managed to capture the sun as it was playing with the clouds. A very nice photo.
I tried to create a B&W version of this in a workshop. Hope you like it.

Superbe cette ambiance pré-orageuse de ce chateau. Les couleurs de ciel avec celle du gazon prennent en sandwich ce monument,très jolie Jack. Amicalement/jr
