Change of weather at Lake Finja Photo

Photographer’s Note

The hike around the lake Finjasjoen is app 18 km. Here from a rainy day in August. The original was not the best, a bit flat and underexposed, so I tried a post process to have a more interesting result of the landscape.
PS: Lasso tool and levels adjustment resulted in the posted version. Hope it will be in your liking. For the 'untouched' original, see the thumbnail below.

Great capture. I like your angle and composition. You have manage to create a beautiful light in you post pro work.
The sky is very dramatic.
The lake and surroundings are beautiful and very "typical swedish summer".

A very strong image and well Post-Processed. I find that boat at the left a bit distracting because of the orange row and yellow tones. Maybe selecting them and de-saturating it a bit could be an option.

I think your post-work would have to be called a great success, Jack. It really enhances the light setting to the best and accentuates the contrast. Of course you had a pleasant composition to begin with, where the small pier and the boats suggest a very tranquil opening of the view towards the lake. Beautiful effect with the "lightburst" on the horizon.

your right there Jack!
they are very similar those swedish low land lakes. having a bath in them really is a true balm and to have a sauna and a cold beer whit it is heavenly.
