Photographer’s Note
An anchor on the beach in the city of Varberg on the west coast of Sweden. The image is taken on a very sunny and nice summer evening.
I had to wait a long while until I could capture the sea gull above the ancor. I liked the the contrast of the solid, heavy anchor, firmly attached to the earth, and the bird floating etherally above.
The lens flare is a conscious choise and I deliberatly tried out a position that would give me a nice effect. Without it, the bottom part looked too "dead".

The only editing is some mild colour adjustment and cropping.
