Photographer’s Note
This is the church at Tjolöholm. It was built by initiative of Blanche Dickson during 1903-1904. The architect was Hans Hedlund.
It is quite easy to see the British influence. The Dickson family originated in Scotland. Two brothers, Robert and James, moved to Gothenburg at the beginning of the 19th century. They created a fortune from exporting wood and iron from Sweden.

Godmorgon,
I thought I knew this church, but then I realized I don't. It's the style I recognize from buildings in central Gothenburg. Quite attractive, and a plain but attractive picture. Nice, clear colours, good sharpness and the branch in the upper right corner helps to create a fine balance in the composition.

Good morning, Gunnar!
It's not "only another church" - it's a beautiful and in its dimensions a human one. It give a really solid impression - built for eternity. Your "crisp" photo - taken under really favourable conditions - shows some nice details. I like this one very much!
Greetings from very sunny Siegen - and have a wonderful Sunday!

Hello Gunnar,
It does have the feeling of a late Victorian / early Edwardian British church about it. I rather like it. It is well presented in this fine composition with well rendered tones and textures.

Hello Gunnar ,
An interesting style of architecture . The framing is excellent . May be , with a farest POV , there would be less distorsion , but it was not possible , obviously .
Colors and sharpness are outastanding , too .

Gunnar,
This is a beautiful church shown under great lighting. The deep blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the shot. The colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail. The tree on the side provides good depth and balance for the scene.

Hi Gunnar,
The point of view is allowing us to see with precision the details and colors of the architecture of the church. The trees and the branches are framing well the church. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello Gunnar,
very interesting church! Somehow this church reminded me of Sofia kyrka in Stockholm (at least the right part of it). Very good rich colours, and I also like the sharpness which helps us see all the details clearly.
I am curious about the small staircase leading to the entrance doors: is it the effect of a lens distortion or is it like this exactly in reality? Because I see the road has a slight slope...
Kind regards,
Elena

Une photo nette et parfaitement exposée.

Hej Gunnar,
The brick walls are well reproduced with good texture!
The point of view works well, placing the building on a background of intense blue Nordic sky...
I notice the original architecture in this beautiful church!

This church is certainly very different from the other Swedish buildings you photograph, Gunnar, but the photography is excellent as usual. Nice shadows and lovely calm colours.
Was the stone quarried locally?

Hi Gunnar
A marvellous blue sky with good sharpness and graphism, of the dark stoned church in the fg. Well composed, with good colour & contrast. Tfs!

Hello Gunnar
The excellent light and sharpness allows to see clearly the details of this church with its square tower and stands out perfectly against the clean/blue sky.
Cheers

Good Morning Gunnar,
Your capture of this church has a wonderful crispness. The details of the stones and the architectural features are 'pin' sharp.
I particulalry like the details of the circular window, which I presume will be behind the altar.
The slightly angled view, giving a f/g triangle of path with its tree shadow, makes an interesting composition.
Good saturation.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hej Gunnar!
What a stable church and the Dicksons have really left their mark in Gothenburg. Would love to see other buildings that they have initiated.
Thanks for sharing/Mona
