Photographer’s Note
This is one of the port-holes in the battery of the Sorlandet, the place were the trainees are living: eating, resting, sleeping... A rather ordinary view, except if you look a little more closely at the port-hole. The green color comes from the sea, which means that this side of the ship is now deep under water. This is just a side effect of sailing with a strong wind, when one side of the ship is inclined. Whith some strong waves, it is customary that the lowest port-holes are sometimes partly submerged (as you will see in the rather bad close-up in workshop), but this is the only time when I saw them full under water for a long time. Thanks God the port-holes were really water tight.
I have decided to change the initial title ("Sailing under water") after finding a new idea in Lars's critic.

Hello Emmanuel,
This is always very spectacular when you this see for the first time, but this gives a turbid view, when you can see the sea.
Very wel captured and nice composed, nice with the copper ring and the green colour of the water.
Very well done, thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
John.

Bonjour Emmanuel,
The photo and your note illustrate nicely this side of the life on the sea. So here you have a room with a view on the sea now. The greenish colour contrast nicely to the warm colours tones of the interior. Thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Lars

Hi Emmanuel,
I like this simple composition with the porthole and the surprising green sea.
It is only a pity the shutter isn’t full round, but you can’t have it all on a rolling ship.
Groet Rob
