Photographer’s Note

The reason for the title lies in the fact that this one follows yersterday's posting, taken for the rear of the ship and looking at the back of the sails.
This one is taken from the middle and shows the main mast with its stay sails on the right, and part of the mizzen mast in the background.
Thus, as far as the main sails are concerned, you have seen their back yesterday and you can see their front today.

Hello Emmanuel,
I am glad that you took this voyage years ago rather then me. I would have been hopelessly seasick. Even so, I have always loved images of big sailing ships and you have done such a great job with this theme. This is really good work and this photo is razor sharp just like your others are. This huge mast is quite a sight from this vantage point. Your usual excellent work!

Les voiles au vent, ça donne toujours un bon impact visuel... avec cette belle lumière, ça donne aussi de jolies couleurs. Bien net, surtout que c'est un scan! Il y a de la fumée dans le coin en bas a gauche? ;D

Bonsoir Emmanuel,
With this POV the mast and sails look very impressive facing proudly the wide sea and the sunlight, that adds a fine colour to them. Also the blue sky makes them stand out very nicely. Good inclusion of the other sail in the upper right hand corner too. Great work!
