Photographer’s Note
A unexpected meeting and a size comparison along the pier in Visby : Göteborg, a brand new replica of a Swedish Insiaman of the 18th century, between 50 and 60 meters long, versus Rara Avis, a not so modern (1957) three masted schooner, 35 meters.
Another difference but not a small one for me : it was a nice moment seeing the tall ship, but I really enjoyed more sailing with the little one for about three weeks around the Baltic...
Une rencontre inattendue et une comparaison de taille le long du quai à Visby : Götebord, réplique toute neuve d'un vaisseau de la Compagnie des Indes suédoise du 18ème siècle, entre 50 et 60 m de long, et Rara Avis, une goellette à trois mats, plus trés moderne (1957), 35 m.
Une autre différence mais pas si petite pour moi : j'ai apprécié de voir le grand voilier, mais j'ai encore plus aimé naviguer avec le petit pendant près de trois semaines autour de la Baltique...

A really impressive ship!! I love the move of the flag at the summit!!
Your framing from behind adds movement too and make us fell as if the ship was on the departure!

Beautiful picture of the newbuilt, old fashioned ship Götheborg! I saw when they were building it. It looked so big indoors, but seems rather small out in the water!

J'adore ce beau voilier tout neuf! Son immense drapeau fait vraiment d'époque. Petit et gros ont tous leur charme.
