Photographer’s Note
This is the Uddevalla bridge over the Sunningesund, about 80 kilometers north of Goteborg. It's a "cable-stayed" bridge, the pilons are 149m high and it's 1712m long (largest span 414m).
Each time when driving to Norway I look forward to all the impressive bridges on the way. The Uddevalla bridge is my favourite due to its unique geometry.
In this particular shot I love the blue sky peeking through the heavy clouds. In earlier years the miserable weather made for quite different views.
Technically: I increased contrast and reduced saturation/vibrance (the blue was just too much) in the RAW converter and cloned out a few little specks (1500km of insects on the windshield).
Credits for the great framing go to Diana, I was only driver, hardware provider, art director and post production. :-)

Hi Adrian
This is an amazing composition. One of the best photos I saw here for weeks (in terms of composition).
The blue sky in the bottom moving to black clouds on the top and those cables....great.
Bravo

Bonjour Adrian,
Best regards,
Daniel

Dear Adrian ... great way of seeing this bridge and what an exciting construction. I can understand that you like going over. I love the beautiful sky above together with the dark clouds. They give the dynamics. Good good work ... well done. Have a wonderful end of Sunday, Barbara.

Great composition - looks almost space age. The clouds look unreal and the contrast is really good - it has depth. I wish that the spars were totally vertical but considering that it seems you took it through the windscreen thats a bit picky! You could try and straighten them but then the other part of the bridge would be off centre
Cheers

Sehr nettes Farbspiel :)

Hi Adrian,
Wow! That's a great POV and composition. Thus you play with the perspective and the contrasts (straight lines of the bridge and the smooth lines of the clouds) + (darkness and light).
Thanks a lot!
Tony
