Photographer’s Note

This is a path up to a look-out point on a mountain near Strömstad. When I was going along the path I found this "passage". I associated to old stories with trolls and gnomes. It's fascinating how the nature can be like this.

Such a lovely scenery! And I really can imagine that Trolls, Faeries or Gnomes are hiding somewhere there under the green moss or behind one of these trees... We met Rolf Lidberg in Medelpad by our first visit to your country and ever since I've a passion for those little creatures! ;o)

You made a sharp and well framed photo. The colours are good, which is always so difficult in the woods, to get the right light. Well done Marlen!

A very nice troll forest indeed. I like the path with the gnarled roots. A bit of a pity with the open area to the right that lets the light in, it reduces the troll feeling a bit.

I also see where you are coming from with your thought's, on this scene, agree with sarasto in his w/s, "very lord of the rings" such a place must have an abundance of photo opportunities to explore. Thanks for sharing

This is a nice path, the kind I like to trek on. I like the composition with this path curving to the right. I think Sarastro did level the colors to make it a little darker and mysterious.

Wow, this looks like something out of the Tasmanian temperate rainforest. Wonderful moss covered rocks, gnarly roots and overhanging branches of 'ent' like trees... The green appears to be quite pale as though it is frosted. I'm not sure but the colours seem somewhat pale.
