A view of Karlskrona

I'm back from some days in Sweden, where my father and I visited TE-member Magnus (MvS) in his hometown Karlskrona, to have a new meeting after the one in Copenhagen last August.

We arrived Tuesday in the afternoon and after a cup of coffee, Magnus gave us a tour over the island he lives at, Saltö and the island next to that, Dragsö. This picture is taken at Dragsö and gives you a view of the centre of Karlskrona with at left the gunpowder house, that Magnus showed too several times.

Karlskrona is located in the Southern part of Sweden in the province (län) of Blekinge. It is located at several islands in den Blekingska Skärgården (Blekinge Archipelago), the main island is called Trossö. The city was founded in 1680 by King Karl XI of Sweden, who also gave his name to the city.

I like the low POV which gives you the opportunity to include the grasses as a frame at the bottom. The view of the totwn across the water is very pretty nestled inbetween the blue sky and the water.

Hi Lars, It has been a while since I see your last new posting. I guess you were busy before the summer vacation. I trust that everything goes well with you.
This is a very attractive picture with nice balance of the colors and contrast. Good PoV and nice depth. A well taken sharp and clear image. Well done.

A very colored and thus lively picture, with a pleasant foreground and this really interesting gunpowder house with its heavy wall. The color of the sea is especially refreshing, I nearly feel the coolness of it.

What a nice framing with this yellow vegetation in foreground, making a beautiful graphical effect against the blue water. The lighting and colors are quite good and the view of the buildings in the background got very attractive. I'm curious about that building at left...

Ook deze blauwe luchten in Sweden, dit geeft onmiddellijk een donkere reflectie op het water wat werkelijk de schoonheid bied aan de foto, maar het riet op de voorgrond vind ik wel heel fijn gevonden, mooi is dat!

Lars, le bleu domine et c'est très bien. J'aime ce premier plan de roseaux qui apporte de la profondeur de champ et beaucoup de grâce.

Hello Lars, this is a pretty and colourful town. Its attractiveness is enhanced by the countryside around it. The reeds make for some good foreground interest.

un bien bon cadrage avec ces épis au premier plan. La couleur bleu domine, et ces tant mieux car cela inspire le bon temps et la sérénité.

A well comp;osed shot of this bucolic scene. I like the framing with the golden grasses and the rich hue of the water. The little boat balances and adds interest and there is good DOF. A well taken photo.
