Photographer’s Note
This is the proof that the arrangement of my last post works.
If you look at the mouth of the pike you can see the poor little bait fish that was used. (My apologies to sensitive viewers...).
To celebrate the catch we made a cozy fire on the ice.

Hej Magnus,
Udmærket komposition, det var meget godt at placere fisken i forgrunden. Blodet kontrasterer fint med sneen. Desuden er DOF'en meget god! Godt arbejde, både fangsten og billedet!

Hi Magnus. I don’t know if I'd suggest getting too cozy next to the fire on the ice as you would think it would cause it to melt! The light is doing good in illuminating your focal point. Nice shot Magnus.

Bonsoir Magnus,

Hi Magnus,
I like these scenes of the fishing. Yes, this image can be a little agessive, but the capture is quite good. I love the playing with the DOF, with the sight of everyone in the background. Excellent sharpness, colours and lighting. I don't know if it's possible for you, but I would love to see a map-view of this place...
Thanks a lot dor sharing,
Ricardo

Hi Magnus
Excellent shot of 'gjedda' on the ice. Top details and a delightful dof adding stuff from the open fire and the proud fishers in the back.

Hi Magnus,
A great sequel to the last post. The fish certainly is raw and fresh from the water. I like the way you have placed the fish within the natural setting, with the fire and fishermen lounging in the background. Not a scene that will please sensitive viewers, but a real part of daily life and nature. Well done.

Hi Magnus,
The blood on the ice makes this picture stronger and more wild. Excellent details and superb DOF. Very strong composition from daily life!

Hi Magus, The foot in the background well provided a good size reference to this big fish. It is a vivid picture to show “big fish eat small fish”. A well capture of the crucial reality in this world from your lens.

Hi Magnus,
I hope nobody fainted by the seeing of all that blood. But if I think of the little fire I can smell the scent of the fire and the pike and it makes my mouth water.
Have a good meal!

Hello Magnus, it's not a pretty picture but it's very informative. You have shown us something about a different way of living and not just to "shock" sensiive viewers. From a technical perspective I like the crisp light and the shallow DOF. The background shows us your group but being fuzzy and omitting the faces, they are not distracting.

Oh - undskyld Magnus
- jeg har vist helt glemt dette billede - et lidt voldsomt og blodigt billede - men stadig fint og ærligt. Jeg kan godt lide dit "DOF" og den røde farve sammen med hvidt giver ekstra effekt.
Hilsen Jeppe
