Photographer’s Note

Today I'm back in Sweden for some Winter Activities.

To fit in the four skaters, the ice yacht and the guy skating his dog it had to be a panorama.

It is one shot, i.e. not a stich, and the bars are there to make the shot high enough to follow TE rules of minimum height/width ratio.

Hi Magnus, That is the first time I see ice yacht. I guess that it may be hard to control because of the possible rough surface and possible low frictions in the clear area. Do you do the ice yacht, since I know you do sailing.

Man, I am going to Sweden, one day for sure. The northern light is so incredible, due to the angle of incidence of sun rays to the atmosphere.

Hey Magnus. It's funny how much that looks like a real panorama and not a single shot. I guess it's all in the crop. I like the silhouettes into the hard light like that. Nice shot Magnus.

Hi Magnus,
A very nice panoramic view of this vast area of iced surface. Magnific dephness, enhanced by the 4 skaters in the very far away. The sport people described in your note are very important to the impact of this image and I specially like the man with the dog. Beautiful lighting and lovely large version. May be the black bars are a bit too strong for the image...It would be great to see some closer approachs of the people. Very well done!

A nice thiny one, Magnus! You cropped it properly. POV and lights are great! I´m looking to that sail supposing how nice could be a ride on it...

Hi Magnus,
A fascinating panorama view and I am intrigued by the ice yacht. Is it stuck in the ice or does it sail along atop the ice? The low light reflections and glow are most enhancing. A very fine capture.

A shadows composition ! Works very well and creates a mysterious atmosphere, especially for the contrast between the man with the dog and the sail... Good compo.

Hi Magnus, I really like all the icy space in this shot. The man with the dog and the ice yacht can really 'breath' here. A vry interesting and atmospheric pano!
