Photographer's Note

Tenerife's weather in November, as it appeared, is not predictable, especially when you choose the north as your base. Everyday showers, clouded sky and almost omnipresent mist can put most of the photographers off. Our stay on this island turned generally into endless searching for places where the conditions were a bit more photographer-friendly.Los Gigantes little touristic village on the west coast- was meant to be short stop to have a quick look at gigantc cliffs. But as usually happens the place waited for us with some surprises. First of all the weather conditions very truly favourable and the scenery quite breathtaking. At first we didn't notice the beach, hidden behind a little port with dozens of tiny boats and yachts. But when we eventually got there we felt fully awarded by a view. Cliffs which guard the harbour appear to drop almost vertically into the sea from the heavens. Ranging in hight between 500m & 800m they create a natural sun trap for this area and that was why we were so lucky with the ligth there.
