Photographer's Note

Dedicated to RODGERG who made me discover this wonderful place and its magnificient church.

Beget is a small medieval village, placed in the region of Alta Garrotxa (Girona), and annexed to the municipality of Camprodon in the year 1969.
The most representative building in it, is the church of Sant Cristófor, built in the purest romanesque style, and the beauty of its belfry stands out over the roofs of the buildings of the village. In its interior, we can find several little treasures as two altars, one in gothic style and another baroque, and an inmense romanesque baptismal sink carved in stone.
If one day you are near this area, go there to visit it,believe me, it will amaze you.

Dedicado a RODGERG quien me hizo descubrir este maravilloso lugar y su magnífica iglésia.

Beget es un pequeño pueblo, situado en la comarca de la Alta Garrotxa(Girona), y anexionado a la municipalidad de Camprodón, en el año 1969.
El edifício mas representativo del lugar es la iglésia de Sant Cristófor construída en el mas puro estílo románico, y la belleza de su campanario destaca de modo sobresaliente por encima de los tejados de las casas del pueblo. En el interior podemos encontrar pequeños tesoros como dos altares, uno gótico, y otro barroco, y una inmensa pila bautismal esculpida en
piedra, de estilo románico.
Si un dia estais por esta zona, id a visitarlo, creedme os asombrará.

Hola Felip,

¿Como esta mi amigo? I remember (then check it) you have photos from same places with Dear Roger (rodgerg). Powerful day light shows all details of cylindrical facade and bell tower wonderfully. I like the roof textures created by old type of terracotta roof tiles and their contrasts with green ridges. Wonderful, congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Felip, Brilliant architecture with two nice contrasting styles in one, the curve at the front & the square corners of the bell tower, there is superb detail & the deep colours give a really beautiful look, the overall composition is excellent, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Nice shot of this fine church. The angle of the shot is nice giving the scene a nice sense of depth. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The angle created by the slope of the mountain gives the shot a nice sense of direction.

Wow, this looks really wonderful. Surely that they did not travel far to find the stone to build the church. Your composition is excellent with a great foreground and the tower against the beautiful blue sky. Well done.

A very beautiful view of the village's church. Good framing with the vegetation in the FG, good use of light and colours and contrasts well collected under a superb blue sky.

Very well composed image; the perfect candidate for portrait format. The inclusion of the foliage in the foreground works very well, both for interest and depth and also for balance with the green-covered mountain behind.

La aparente sencillez de la toma, la hace encantadora, con un buen aprovechamiento de la luz existente, lo que permite resaltar las bellas tonalidades del escenario.

La composición está bien equilibrada al encuadre. Bonito trabajo.

A veces uno se sorprende como alguien que vine de lejos descubre pequeñas joyas que siempre quedaran cerca de nosotros... A mi me suele ocurrir en TE...
Es sin duda un local y una iglesia muy interesante, por su aire genuino, cuasi salvaje, que uno imagina que no deberá haber cambiado mucho desde la Edad Media, cuando la iglesia fue construida. Buen PdV, luz y colores. Solo la nitidez no es perfecta, pero es un pequeño detalle que no lleva a hacer daño.

I remember seeing a similar picture from Roger. This is a very well composed image with the bell tower dominating the scene against the blue sky. Funny when a foreigner helps you discover places in your own country...don't worry, happened to me many times as well. Good work my friend!

Una explendida iglesia, de la cual no tenia noticia, y eso que si conozco Campodron. La fotografia es magnifica, con una buena definicion, buen equilibrio de color y un buen angulo para su realizacion.

That's such a fine piece of architecture in a very well taken photograph! I usually prefer a bit more of sharpness (though I've been having problems with exaggeration of that feature for I use PICASA), but I think the level in this one fits it perfectly! Exposure is correct, colors are natural and beautiful! The vertical format was a very good choice for the composition, very well seen and done!
