Peak of La Galana (2.564 mt above sea level) closing the glacial valley of Circo de Gredos.
In the Quaternary era, the cold periods formed cirques, gorges, moraines and alpine lakes on granitic materials, one of the best preserved examples of glacial formations in the south of Europe.
