In the grounds of Temple Sagrada Familia. The Cathedral which was begun in 1890 and is said to be about half completed today. Quite a marathon effort, being built only using donations from the public. This statue of a Saint most likely seems to be a relatively new addition.

"The patron of this project is not in a hurry". Gaudí.

Hello Muray

What a stunning statue... She seems to be enclosed in the wall, like an apparition.
Your framing is very effective to give a strange effect.
An elegant composition, well done.

Karine

Hello Mirray,

An very balanced composition with this statue and the vegetation and also the wall in the background. The colors are very well collected.

Regards,

Roger

Like it, it's greta to see a living master work!

Hi Murray, good shot of this statue, against this wall. With the lines in the statue, it actually blends in quite nicely. When I saw this post of yours I went in to have a look at the history of this temple. You weren't kidding, it really is a marathon effort. When they're done I think they should also erect a statue for Antoni Gaudí, the original architect for it. Very impressive story.

Thanks, John

Actually, it looks like the statue is part of the wall. It is a nice simple picture. Well done.
Antonio

Hi, Murray,
what an interesting shot. Well composed, really nice color and detail. What amazed me was how the statue looks ghostly - as though you're seeing through it to the wall. I wonder if they planned it that way. Very nice work! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

This is an interesting detail of this famous Gaudi structure, Murray. I have always loved this building.Your composition, left of center is just right and the effect of stone against stone, is good. regards kevin

murray

marvelous work. you put all the things in a right position inside the frame. |perfect light too. The texture of the stone in the sculpture is almost mixed with the stones in the background creating an ilusion of a ghost image. well done

hugs

jorge
