Normally this church is surrounded by water.
Spain seems to have a very dry springtime.
Your image is very well composed with b
beautiful and natural colors.
A good idea to enclose the dead branches in the foreground.

Une belle composition pour nous présenter ce lac de retenue sous un autre angle.
J'aime beaucoup cette chapelle en ruine sur les hauteurs.
La couleurs de l'eau et celle du ciel contrastent magnifiquement avec cette terre ocre.

Very saturated colours, but you know i like to see that. A nice triple layer composition, very clever composed with the water in between. The pople give a nice touch of human life to the image, makes it less sterile...very nice.

what i saw on euronews was similar to this one telling about the drought in barcelona... good to hear they had rain lately... whatever, this is a beautiful shot taken from a good (unique!) pov:)... looks like north africa or mexico in iberia...

Hi Nikki.
I'm glad my friends in Barcelona are getting some water, but it would be even nicer if some came our way here in Melbourne, where it is bone dry and getting worse. At least the Ds have had a win.
The shot has lovely colours and pleasing angles made by the shorelines. Really good DOF too.

Buena foto. Últimamente estamos empezando a conocer como la palma de nuestra mano este lugar gracias a las fotos que ponéis... da la sensación de que todos hayamos estado ahí (cuando sabemos que eso no es cierto... no estuvimos todos).

En cualquier caso, buena foto y muy representativa de la situación actual en Barcelona.

Que ces couleurs sont belles!le contraste entre la terre et les bleus ou bleu vert est superbe .Une excellente composition avec ces branches qui semblent faire un écrin à cette petite église comme pour essayer de la protéger .On a du mal à imaginer qu'elle est engloutie actuellement

Bonjour Nikki,
Chouettes couleurs! J'aime bien l'opposition entre les froides et les teintes chaudes. Les branches au premier plan sont également bien mises en valeur par la lumière ambiante. Tant mieux si la pluie a fini par arriver pour remplir un peu les réservoirs avant l'été.

De la on se rend pas trop compte qu'elle est ruinee car la tour est bien conservee, le premier plan inhabituel est sympa et je vois que tu as pu visser le pola pour des contrastes qui dechirent.

Hi Nikki, I like the composition here with the rich red seen before the water. I'm used to seeing this red in hot arid areas of the world, so this gives good support to the "arid" shot. The church stands out well against that tree covered hill and that great blue sky (another sign of a dry area). The inclusion of people works well to give us a sense of scale. Very good mix of colour and great depth of field giving good sharp detail throughout.

It's strange to see the branches coming out of the water, but they make an eye catching element to the image, which you framed well to avoid any overlap with the church. There is wonderful depth with the inclusion of the triangle of land in the foreground. Looking at this now that is a lot of water falling in a few days.

Bonjour Nikki,
La prise de vue au ras du sol, sur un premier plan de la planète Mars, éclaire parfaitement sur la sécheresse environnante.
Malgré une superbe lumière et des couleurs vives, une ambiance de mort lente est perceptible.
Magnifique. A bientôt à Lille...

Nikki,
an interesting shot with the old and dead tree branches coming out of the water and embracing the rest of the composition including the old ruins of that church in the background. All the colorfull points given by the people walking around provides an interesting additional feature of life and scale.
