I still have some shots of this wonderful evening I had in Valencia. On this one, you can see on the foreground the Hemesferic (Armadillo shape) in front of the Science Museum.

The City of Arts and Science in Valencia is fast becoming one of Spain's top tourist attractions. This futuristic "city within a city" must surely rank as one of the world's most exciting and imaginative millennium projects. The entire complex, designed to celebrate the arrival of the 21 st century, looks as though it might have been beamed down to earth from another planet.

Santiago Calatrava, who master-minded most of the complex, says:
" I am proud of the fact that people can walk through and around the main buildings without paying. It is a city to be discovered by promenading."

You can promenade for more than seven kilometres around the complex thanks to the vision of this internationally acclaimed architect, artist and engineer who allowed his imagination free rein when it came to designing one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by his native city.

Many Valencians admit to having visited the arts and science city scores of times without ever having bought an entrance ticket to any of its four star turns: the Hemesferic, the Principe Felipe Science Museum, the Oceanarium and the Reina Sofia Arts Palace.

Je me souviens de ta précédent et ici tu as obtenu encore une très belle lumière crépusculaire et quelle superbe netteté sur le sujet, j'aime beaucoup. Le rapprochement avec le tatou est bien vu. Une image fluide et agréable à regarder, bravo Christian. A découvrir effectivement.

This is the first time I see the Arts and Science complex in a night shot and the view of the buildings and their reflections together is something spectacular. The one on the left, looks like one of those very strange deep water fish with big sharp teeth.
The blue hour shot is excellent and the sharpness is superb. I love it.

Hi Christian,
This shot is so nice and smooth, it looks like something from a sci-fi movie. I like the soft pastelly colours and your exposure was perfect and the details are excellent. Very well composed as well with the three structures.

J'avais raté ta 1ère présentation de la Cité des Arts de Valence, mais tu m'offres une belle séance de rattrapge.
Quel magnifique ouvrage... La structure est vraiment étonnante, et ton excellent cadrage renforce le graphisme de ces bâtiments originaux, entre casque de moto et poisson géant lol.
La réflexion sur le bassin est superbe et la qualité de l'image toujours aussi impressionnante.
Magnifique réalisation, bravo.

Hi Christian, this has a very futuristic look to it. I like those pastel colours, with the reflections and with those strong lines. It is a very interesting effect. You have composed this shot and handled the light perfectly to give such great results.

Cette cité est décidément très photographié, ça fait plusieurs fois que je la vois sur TE ! Toujours une réussite d'ailleurs. Les formes arrondies du bâtiment et les reflets dans l'eau sont toujours du plus bel effet.

The soft pastel colors of sunset are really remarkable. The exposure is balanced very well between the artificial light on the armadillo and the natural light in the sky. I sure wish I had 5D to attach my 24-70 lens to, because it looks like you can achieve some really awesome results.

Le 5D est réellement un boitier fabuleux entre tes mains et l'image est superbement lumineuse. Encore une très belle photo de ce bâtiment a l'architecture incroyable. Ici si l'on ne connait pas, on a aucune idée de la taille des lieux, cela donne une ambiance bizarre.

Pas mal du tout ton zoo Calatrava, et le cote resolument futuriste du lieu est bien complete par tous ces tons blancs sophistiques. C'est vraiment un batiment qui a une classe incroyable, faut que j'aille voir ca un jour !

WOW! Christian I have already seen some shots of this architectural wonder piece here at TE, but you just raised the bar incredibly high with your blue hour version. A shot that is ready to be used by any advertisement agency to publish this Art museum. Excellent view and execution. The reflections enhance the view tremendously and shows how well the architect planned the whole scene.

L'architecture de Calatrava combiné avec les reflets et la lumière fait pensé à une ville dans un film sci-fi.
Ta composition est vraiment bien pensée et j'aime comment les nuages animent le ciel.

This photo is a delight for it's futuristic look, due to the beauty and interest of those buildings designed by master Calatrava but also because you handled so well with the exposure settings here giving it this fantastic look where everything seems to shine.
The contrast of colours is another interesting aspect of your photo which is great IMO.

P.S: Calatrava was chosen to enlarge Oriente station here in Lisboa, which was also one of his creations, I'm very curious of what it will look, surely a great place for future photos.

Faut avouer que tu te debrouille en photo de nuit. Ici tout est bien: le cadrage aux petits oignons, la gestion de la lumiere sans probleme de contraste, le ciel encore un peu bleu et qui s equilibre avec l eclairage urbain, le bon usage des reflets...
L image est tres belle et a bien merite son succes. Je suis aussi impressionne par la "proprete" alors que la photo a ete prise a 1000iso.
