4 VESTALS IN RECTO, WS IN BACK Photo

Photographer’s Note

I really appreciated these four white statues which were along a staircase which went down towards a place commercial.4 on each sides from this staircase. Behind these statues a kind of small water falls which ran vat out of vat. I present them here to you face and in WS of back. In WS statues in more general sight but with the thorough colors and light.
As you will have noticed, I had forgotten the règlage in 1600 ISO, of one some on ex of the white.

C'est vrai quelle était très jolies ces statues en gradation et toutes blanches vêtues !
joli ce flouté à l'arrière,
pas facile de les prendre sans surexposition !
je n'est guère fait mieux ;)
j'aime bien le WS en couleur avec les lumières saturées.
Excellent travail, belle compo.

Parfaites lumières Thomas, je crois que c'est ce qui me frappe le plus sur cette photo de bonne facture.
La profondeur de champ moindre, donne de relief.
C'est simple mais pas mal.

Three very nice photos of these statues. Very well seen and you captured them here in a great vertical composition and from a superb POV. I like very much the repetitive effect and the lighting is also great, with good contrast between the light and the shadow parts. The background adds some fine colours too. Very well done and thanks for sharing!

bon cadrage en alignement de ces statues avec une bonne luminosité, j'aime assez le côté emplacement de celles-ci que l'on ne peut pas remarquer je pense...et j'aime bien ton ws qui nous permet de les voir sous un autre angle de face

De belles silhouettes effectivement et ta photo vue de dos n'est pas mal non plus ;-)) Il y a quand même quelques éléments perturbateurs sur cettte vue avec le lampadaire et le type au polo coloré.

Salut Thomas. Ah, a modern rendition of the vestal virgins. I like the limitted DoF and the way the group is flanked by the palmiers. The combination with the people and the gaudy architecture is vital here - it makes this a statement on tourist culture. Very well done and thanx for the wider view too. I like the WS of Mark too - it focusses on the graphical side of the scene (I always like that) but it alas lost the context, so it did away with too much of the visual information.

woooowwww......impressionnant POV, certainement très bien vu. La ligne des figures sveltes et stylisées en croisant l'image est excellente, tout comme l'impact de la lumière du soleil qui imprime brillant à la grande composition.
J'aime la vie et l'intensité de couleurs qui détache l'image, puisqu'elle me transmet des vibrations très bonnes. Intéressants les WS.

Hello Thomas. I really do appreciate this zoom capture of yours here. Namely the manner in which the 100-400 lens allows you to capture this compressed statues in such a manner. All sorts of creative ideas come to mind with this lens setup on the 400D. Have you tried using the 1.4x extender with it? I understand that the auto focus will not work with the extender on the 100-400 lens.

la facon dont tu nous presentes les sculptures (ce n'est pas la premiere fois) se trensmet en inspiration d'y rester et d'admirer longtemps. Celle-ci est deja formidable par son auteur, mais tu as su choisir le point de vue pour valoriser la composition complete. C'est propre, c'est l'optimisme. Et, je t'en remercie beaucoup. Quand a moi, je me tourne souvent vers les choses de grands defauts tout en desirant les changer ou les faire disparaitre. J'ai de la rancune pour les imperfections et la negligeance. Telle est ma derniere photo, qui me fait la nausee. Mais, c'est aussi le role des photographes. Amicalement

la position absolument identique des statues fait presque penser à un montage, et c'est peut-être ce qu'il y a de plus marrant dans cette photo!
Les couleurs criantes du touriste et cet improbable toit bleu font le reste! magnifiquement kitsch.

Bonjour, Thomas. Très bel alignement. Le télé a bien réduit la distance et donne une très belle perspective. La légère montée ne fait que renforcer la qualité de l'alignement. Le tout se détache bien sur le ciel bleu.

la perspective presque plate que tu as obtenue avec une longue focale donne un bon résultat graphique après avoir aplati ces statues et après les avoir laissées presque collées au réverbère élégant de l'arrière-plan.
Le cadrage est très intéressant et effectif, et la photo complémentaire nous offre une autre vue qui nous donne une idée du lieu, bien que l'ISO 1600 ait laissé sa trace.
Belle réalisation.

Très ntéressante ces statues alignées les une contre les autres. Bon rendu des couleurs, pas facile avec le blanc. J'aurais peut-être coupè juste au dessus de la casquette du personnage et la photo aurait été belle quand même. J'aime bien le deuxième workshop, les couleurs sont merveilleuses mais le poteau est un peutrop centré.

Un peu kitch la decoration de l hotel. Les autres vues en WS permettent de bien se rendre compte de ce a quoi ca ressemble vraiment.
Le cadrage dans l enfilade est une tres bonne idee car il introduit un aspect graphique et dynamise bien la scene.

Très belle capture de ces vestales. Cependant, avoir été à place du photographe, je me serais levé à 4 heures du matin et aurait capté ces belles demoiselles sans les éternels touristes et de telle sorte que la beauté de leur visage ne soit pas atténuée par le lampadaire en arrière plan.

very nice pov, colors and light. Really these sculptures give a nice amount of good images. I liked them too. I think if you had cut off a little bit of the lower area it would be more interesting yet. I liked the plants too, are like green stars.
