Photographer’s Note
I post this picture like a way of protest. JeanMi had this place where he lived and shaped windsurfing boards in this, our, little town of El Medano, in the south of tenerife.
Our town is being changed so much and so fast...it´ll never be the same as soon as they finish all the buldings and the MEGA-Industrial port they planned to do. The port is in the middle of the continuous NE winds and sea direction, the direction of the sand that fills our beaches as well. As the port is finished it´ll be only a matter of years for the beaches to leave being sandy beaches.
Some months ago they kicked JeanMi from his own place. They had something better to do with that piece of land next to the beach...Brought the whole house down and now there´s nothing but reminders.
Progress??? Is it progress??? we will have to eat it someday...f**king progress...

Very cool shot. I love the giant hand and the motion blur. Plus, I like how the color on the tool that he's using matches with the walls. Really nice, unique perspective.
