In a bird view Photo

Photographer’s Note

After celebrating my photo 400, today I continue with the 401th, and I recover my series of old scanned photos.
This one is taken in the pretty town of Taüll, in the Valley of Boí (Lleida) during my holidays in the summer of 1985. In order to be able to have a more spectacular view, I raised by the mountain until finding a bird view and with a good angle, that it allowed to see me both nuclei of this town, each one with its fantastic Romanesque church, the one of Sant Climent in the left side and the one of Santa Maria in the right side. I hope that they are possible to be seen with clarity in the photo in spite of being very far.
At the present time, new houses have united nuclei both, although the same traditional architectonic mountain style has stayed, with stone, wood and slate.

The WS are two views of the town of Barruera, capital of the Valley of Boí, located at heart of the valley and next to the river.

Después de celebrar mi foto 400, hoy continúo con la 401, y recupero mi serie de viejas fotos escaneadas.
Ésta está tomada en el bonito pueblo de Taüll, en el Valle de Boí (Lleida) durante mis vacaciones del verano de 1985. Para poder tener una vista más espectacular, subí por la montaña hasta encontrar un punto de vista de pájaro y con un buen ángulo, que me permitiera ver los dos núcleos de este pueblo, cada uno con su fantástica iglesia románica, la de Sant Climent en el lado izquierdo y la de Santa María en el lado derecho. Espero que se puedan ver con claridad en la foto a pesar de estar muy lejos.
En la actualidad, nuevas casas han unido los dos núcleos, aunque se ha mantenido el mismo estilo arquitectónico tradicional de montaña, con piedra, madera y pizarra.

Los WS son dos vistas del pueblo de Barruera, capital del Valle de Boí, situado en el fondo del valle y al lado del río, en dos fotos tomadas desde Taüll.

*Escaneada de diapositiva, con Canon Canoscan 4400F, a 1200 ppp. No tengo los datos de la toma original.

Hola Josep,
Depuis que j'ai visité le Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya à Barcelone, je rêve d'aller voir les églises romanes de la Valle de Boí et particulièrement de Taüll. Cette photo me donne encore plus envie. J'aperçois les petites églises en bas. La campagne est superbe avec ces terrasses bordées d'arbres et cette belle ombre de la montagne qui sculpte le paysage.

ils en ont de la chance ces oiseaux. Aucunes limites.
Et voilà ce qu'ils peuvent voir, . Tu as chois un POV impeccable, qui donne un peu le vertige, la photo rend bien l'altitude.
Beaucoup de profondeur dans tous les sens et des lumières parfaites.

Wow, superb bird view and once again, impressive quality for a recover image of 85, Josep. Yes, I can see well the two churches and many other details. Love the graphism and colors on this image. In the upper part, we can see a lot of terraces, problably for agriculture - they allways make a nice effect in the landscape. Both WSs are also very good, giving us a monumental impression of the mountains, but this image is the best one. Excellent work, my friend.

Um "scan"? Eu não diria nada. Essa Canon Canoscan 4400F faz um trabalho excelente. Infelizmente, esse modelo não está à venda na Austrália e vou ter de pagar cerca de A$330 pela 8800F. Lá terá de ser, porque tenho algumas fotos mais antigas que também gostaria de mostrar por aqui.
Gosto muito da cor geral da paisagem e da diagonal do canto superior criada pela sombra/sol. Acho também muito interessante aquela sucessão de terraços que sobem a montanha. Muito bom trabalho.

Una vista extraordinària del dos nuclis de població de Taüll, però el que més m’impressiona es el treball humà que hi ha fet per aconseguir cultivar la terra en una zona muntanyosa a base de construir feixes i més feixes per aplanar el terreny. També això es veu molt be amb la perspectiva de la teva excedent foto malgrat sigui escanejada.

Very interesting shot, because of the unsual angle, looking down from above. The perspective is very different, and the detail is incredible - almost like what a bird would see. Nicely done!

Here you show us an incredible, a breathtaking view! I like the many details one can see here of this wonderful and manifold landscape. The othters have said all about this great picture but I think it may "bear" another two points. ;-)

A spectacular view of the small town nestling in the valley below. Indeed the bell tower of the church attracts attention because of it's height. The BG slopes of the hills, has been IMO taken a toll of Neat image application. Both your WSs are very good but this is certainly the best of the lot. Well done my friend..

Una vista panoramica muy buena de tan precioso lugar, es impresionante tu punto de vista alto el cual permite un marco amplio del pueblo y el Valle de Boi. Has hecho un excelente trabajo en una foto escaneada, los colores persisten vivos y te da un contraste estupendo. Me gustaron mucho tus dos WS, la verdad es que son sitios maravillosos. J'aime beaucoup cette vue sans ciel qui focalise notre attention sur ces pentes montagneuses qui ne semblent attendre que la neige de l'hiver. La composition verticale dynamise bien l'ensemble.

De volta há relativamente pouco tempo do Porto é sempre bom voltar ao TE e ver estas magnificas fotos de Lleida com o esplendor dos montes e destas pequenas povoações que pontilham pelos seus vales.
Para uma foto scaneada e ainda para mais de 1985 é surpreedente a qualidade que nos apresentas aqui.
Gostei muito desta vista aérea de Valle de Boi.

Josep, c'est très plaisant de se trouver à la place d'un oiseau et de survoler un si bel endroit. La lumière détache chaque relief comme les peupliers et les champs en terrasses. La partie à l'ombre devient bleue. Une photo très agréable à voir.

Hi Josep. Twentytwo years a long time. But it is still fresh. All three shots are beautiful but this one is the best in my opinion. The high POV displayes the depth of the shot with nice handling of colours. Regards.
