[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
La Pedrera - one of the more famous designs of the Catalan architect Gaudi. Built between 1905 and 1910 it was originally known as Casa Mila, but is better known as La Pedrera, which means "The Quarry", because of the uneven effect on the stone.

PP - have increased saturation a tad, and corrected some barrel distortion.

Hello Leon,

A beautiful picture of a not less beautiful place. The image speaks about the building with absolute transparency, it feels almost like being there. Very useful for those who never have been in Barcelona and would like to, but don't have time enough.

Hi, my friend!
It is very interesting architecture. I was in Spain but I was not been in Barcelona. I must go to Barcelona. Interesting composition with good colours.

Hi Leon,
Long time, no see... You captured very nicely that strange architecture, intensely Barcelonese, and the life on the street. You did a great job on the PP, although I wonder if there was much need to correct the distortion, as it might look realistic even if you didn't. :D
I hope you had a nice time on Catalonia.
Regards, José.

I don't know about correcting barrel distortion, it's like a jelly on a plate ;)
All that is wrong is a couple of metres of pavement missing at the front, you know, it's a bit tight in the frame. Tell you what Leon, from your first post to this shows how you have improved. I am sure you feel more confident when taking your photos now. Remember a street in Colne? This is far better. So you have been to Barca. Lovely isn't it?

Hi Leon,
So you're back in action! Good to see you!
Nice frontal and general view of the famous building, exposure, colors and sharpness looks fine to me! I also think it could slightly be improved by having more of the pavement and people walking, but no big deal there!
Cheers
Laurent

hello leon,
glad you have returned to TE..missed yor critiques! I like this but as Mark says the cropping is a bit tight. Loved barcelona, did you? Pity I wasn't into photography when I was there. Must go back.

Hi Leon.
It looks still majestic.
I like here very much the contrast with this very nice blue sky.
I like the all the lightness and the people in your frame composed with this famous building.

Hello Leon,
A good composition of this much photographed building with lots of animation from the passing crowds. Very good colours and light and fine clarity.

Good to see a new post from you Leon.
Barcelona is a delightful city. We went there in my compact days a few years ago.
This front-on view of La Pedrera works very well as you have the trees either side to frame it. Great light too; something missing at home this summer.

Hi Leon ,really unusual buiding ,i expect this would look even better at night ,the blue sky really gives it a lift, as do the green trees either side
well done

Hi Leon, finally back to TE for good? I missed your posts for a while and see that you started well with a typical barcelonian street scene with an authentic Gaudi as a backdrop. It seems that your PP really did the right thing to give a flawless presentation.
Good work!

Bonjour Leon,

Je ne connaissais pas cet étrange bâtiment (en miniature, j'ai d'abord pensé que c'était son reflet dans l'eau). L'image est de bonne qualité avec de très belles couleurs. Merci pour le partage !
