Photographer’s Note

This was taken near a Town called Olivenza in Spain Right in the Border with Portugal, Olivenza (Spanish spelling) or Olivença (Portuguese spelling) is a town and municipality, on the disputed border of Portugal and Spain, which is administered as a part of the Spanish region of Extremadura. The sovereignty over Olivenza is a sensitive matter in the relations between Portugal and Spain.

Under Portuguese sovereignty since 1297, the municipality of Olivenza was ceded to Spain under the Treaty of Badajoz in 1801, Spain has since administered the territory (now split into two municipalities, Olivenza and Táliga) as part of the province of Badajoz, whilst Portugal invokes the self-revocation of the Treaty of Badajoz, plus the Treaty of Vienna of 1815, to claim the return of the territory. Nevertheless, diplomatic relations between the two countries within the European Union have not been strained, for a more in depth reading about this go to Wikipedia and type "olivenza", many thanks all and any improvement or suggestions are welcome if any.
