Of course I would love this one. The shadow game is amazing but that red transparent "plastic" bag full of light is a bliss in the middle of all this darkness. What a striking photo you have here dear Valeria! Like it a lot.

What a great idea! The shadows on the pavement give this a strong graphic look, because of the high contrast and dramatic shapes. The red back provides that essential splash of colour to liven the image. You have a super eye to be able to spot things like this!

AMAZING work, Vale! Into my favs... this translucent, flaming red of the plastic bag is tremendous; you were needed there in the Ramblas to spot it in the near monochrome palette of the street in the golden hours...

really well done here. The strong contrast of the shadows and the splash of red is really good. I was impressed by the street artists using spray cans of paint to create some superb (and horrific!) art when I went down the Ramblas.

Hello Valeria,

Great catch! Legs, long shadows and a red bag - and the play of light on that red bag. Great contrast created here. Very artistic shot.
I'm not good at things like this. Well, currently working in Indonesia I'm 40 centimeters taller than the rest of the country and draw too much attention - even without my camera - to get such a shot ;-). Nice one!

Hi Valeria! This is a superb play of shadows, silhouettes and a directly lit object...and this one is shot on the Ramblas, so the object is obviously a simple shopping bag. The way it's lit and partly translucent and revealing its contents,works wonders in this context. Very good, very graphic, very evocative.

I just clicked the photo when I came across the name Ramblas to remember my recent vacation in Catalonia. What I saw was a piece of art with great contrast between dark shadows and the red plastic bag in the evening sun. Very well seen and well shot. I'm putting it into my favorites.

Wow, Valeria, this is great news! I actually hardly ever check the Forum, every so and so months maybe, but today I did. Maybe I felt that this would happen :) Your light management is outstanding here and I find the red sack makes this shot very special and how the light moves through the red. It feels somehow as we would walk along with you and you can almost hear the noice of the street. I wish you good luck ... and I keep my fingers crossed. Barbara.
