Photographer’s Note

"Benvingut" = "Welcome", in Catalan.

This statue is located at the top of a hill near the city of Sant Carles de la Ràpita. Jesus is looking at the Mediterranean sea, and at his feet lays the city. I had to climb a rocky road for 20 minutes to be next to the statue. When I arrived at the top, I saw an other big road, made for tourist buses... damn. At least, I spent some energy, and I enjoyed a great scenery... (Remains me of the big Christ on Mount Corcovado.)

Sant Carles de la Ràpita is located about 90km south from Tarragona. It's an other touristic place, but not as much as Salou. (Picture coming up next time.) This city is not that charming: in this region, little cities aren't very "cute" and "clean"... but it gives tourists the opportunity to see Spain in a different angle: money is not everywhere...

In PS: don't remember everything, I modified this picture long ago. I probably ajusted the colours and the levels. Framing, copyrighting.
