It was near of the Spain Square, the Jean Bouin (here another shot of the race).
Look how this athlete is coming to the finish line. He arrives alone and you can see and contemplate how powerful are his arms. Because this man use the arms for run.

And the people enjoy it and understand that this is spectacle.

Do it too.

Enjoy.

And also let me remember you that Ennio Morricone will receive this year his first Oscar.
Here you can listen some exemples of his work:

Once Upon a Time in the West (only the music)

The Untouchables (concert Munich)

The Sicilian Clan (concert)

I hope you like it.

Once Upon a Time in the West (only the music)

The Untouchables (concert Munich)

The Sicilian Clan (concert)

Espero que os guste.

Hi Carlos,

I find these picture very fine and certainly your WS with the starting of the people in full suspence, excellent composition and your did very well placing the picture for handicaps. Thanks for sharing!

Have a nice holiday week,
John

Well Carlos, I would say that his strong arms aren't visible because of the sillouetted result, but your shot is really good, specially because of the amazing light that you captured. Is this a return to this theme of yours?
All the best,
Ricardo

Hola Carlos,

A strong image, the composition placing the atlete on the extreme right works well and the hand trying to reach him adds some drama to the scene. The light is quite special too. I hope you had a nice Christmas and I wish you a wonderfull 2007.

Cheers,

Flavia

The minimal composition makes your message all the more powerful. I like the extra touch of the clapping hands and the camera too.
Seasons greetings to you and your family.
Kath

Hola Carlos,

this one is very different in mood from the other shot of the race. Another way of seeing, another aspect, there's something suspenseful, with that little black opening in the wall and the solitary cyclist. The hand reaching towards him adds much to the shot, it elevates the scene to almost a religious one. A nice composition, Coco!

I also have great admiration for people who are handicapped and so full of life. A friend of mind has MD and he is in a wheelchair. His wisdom and looking at things are in every way admirable, humbling, and inspiring. These shots of races you take bring him to mind too. No matter how cold it may be here, he ventures out in the awful arctic winds all alone in his wheelchair, oxygen mask.

Take care Carlos,
sasa

Hello, Carlos--
Very nice work on this one, the use of space is great, showing how much this man is all alone in the front. The dark colors used are nice, making the silhouette against the brighter ground a little suprising and very moody, a very nice touch. The very head-on composition is countered by the dynamic angle of the barriers at left which lead into the dark square on the far wall, a nice counterpoint for the man.
Thanks!
sam

Hello Carlos,
Indeed a great composition!Very strong!
Like the arms of these people!

My best seasonal wishes to you!
Thomas

Hi Carlos. It's good how we feel a bit of solitude in the racer on the right. The people on either side provide some balance and interest. I really like the clapping hands with no owner on the right. Good one Carlos.

My Lord.

A powerful and strong picture. His training has been succesful and this photo is a good proof. But still he needs fillfull his power.

The force may be with you.

excelente, Coco!
