La gótica catedral de Astorga convive con un palacio episcopal que parece querer de algún modo eclipsarla. La tradición arquitectónica medieval fue "imitada" y superada por el genio desbordante de Antonio Gaudí que construyó este palacio episcopal, semejante a un castillo de fantasía, con reminiscencias góticas, pero con un espíritu absolutamente singular.

The Gothic cathedral of Astorga coexists with an episcopal palace that seems to want to eclipse it someway. The architectural medieval tradition was "imitated" and overcome by the great genius of Antonio Gaudí, who planned and builded this episcopal palace, similar to a castle of fantasy, with Gothic reminiscences, but with an absolutely singular spirit.

Las cuatro fotos dan un espectáculo tremendo. Dan ganas de visitar este lugar y crean una duda que tiene respuesta conocida: si el palacio episcopal es tal y como podemos ver, ¿por qué la sagrada familia es tan fea?
Claro, los arquitectos que la siguen se mueven más por la pasta que no por la tradición gaudiniana.

Hi Angel. Excellent stitching not even visible in the large image. The colours too are superb the warm light on the buildings contrasts nicely with the deep blue of the sky. The whole image is very crisp. I wish you a happy Christmas holiday Angel

What a striking thing this image is .. I am trying to think through if have ever seen to cathedral like structures so near .. and then you add in the Gaudi .. and your wonderful composition .. wow ...

Aqui tienes otra foto fantastica. Es muy claro y la composicion es buena con los dos edificios juntos. Me gusta el contraste de los dos. La foto grande nos deja ver las detallas.

This is very interesting, dear Angel (today's shot of mine is about an Angel too ;-) as I have never seen these two beautiful buildings photographed together, side by side. Just deepens my love and appreciation for Gaudi (and your skills to put 4 shots so seamlessly together!)

Hola Ángel,
buen montaje de las cuatro fotos en formato vertical.
La combinación de estilos arquitectónicos es muy gráfica, gótico vs modernista. Gaudí hizo un trabajo aquí poco espectacular en su diseño, aunque con técnica atrevida, como esas bóvedas que se ven a la derecha.
Buena foto, bien iluminada y con colores espléndidos, atractiva y con mucha calidad.
Te deseo una Felices Navidades y Año Nuevo para tí y los tuyos.

Imagino que esta es una de las que me dijiste que pondrías de Astorga, pues realmente me gusta, una buena panorámica, hace poco hablamos de este lugar Miguel (MiguelP) y yo, tengo infinidad de fotos de estos monumentos al arte, mi mujer es de allí y vamos varias veces al año, sobre la imagen comentarte que creo que deberías haber incluido algo mas de suelo, de este modo evitaría que la escena pareciese cortada, sobre todo las personas que salen en la parte inferior, pero este detalle no resta calidad a tu trabajo, como ya te he dicho me gusta y me trae gratos recuerdos.

Un abrazo y te deseo que pases un Feliz Navidad junto a tus seres queridos.

Esta foto de Astorga me trae muchos recuerdos de mi infancia. No sé por qué pero esta ciudad me daba muchos miedos (bueno, sí sé porque). Excelente panorámica Angelillo, te estás haciendo un maestro en esto. Lástima que haya un límite en TE por miembro. Saludines.

Una composición inteligente al juntar los dos edificios. Me gusta. Además, el trabajo de juntar las 4 fotos ha dado unos buenos resultados ya que el resultado se ve. Salta a la vista.

Hace muchos años Toni y yo pasamos por aqui pero sin ver el edificio de Gaudi :-(
Que contraste entre los dos edificios y que raro que sean tan cerca uno al otro. Se destacen bien contre el cielo tan azul.
