Olive Trees and Olvera, a photo from Cadiz, Andalucia

Photographer's Note

Olvera is one of several white villages (los pueblos blancos) sprinkiling the Andalusian countryside. They are usually settled on the top of hills and dominated by a castle a church, or both. They were so built to defen themselves agains invaders, some of them date back to the time of Moorish occupation which explains their architecture.

Los olivos están entre mis árboles favoritos y las aceitunas entre mis manjares predilectos. Es una foto tan clásica como bonita Daniel. Un placer el poder disfrutarla.

Hello Daniel ... I love olive oil and have it every day, so of course I have to comment on "Olive trees and Olvares". I love the white village "shining" from above. These villages do not disturb nature at all, they seem to fit in. Such a nice photo, I like it. Barbara.

Trés beau paysage typique de l'Andalousie,tout y est:les oliviers,les maisons blanches,la lumiere est chouette,tu as bien géré l'exposition et ton POV montre bien la position dominante du village,

Très belle image de cet endroit de l'Espagne. J'aime beaucoup cette positon dominante que prend le village.
Il y a de belles teintes entre le bleu, vert et blanc.

You are travelling a lot and this new series from Spain is really impressive. I didn't even heard about this place on the hill. Maybe there is more such places (for sure) but this view is breathtaking and I must go there one day I think. Contrasts between the white houses and green cascades is really powerful. Good POV, nice sky,

Wonderful shot of the village on the hill. The light is lovely - late afternoon by the look of the long shadows. The rows of olive trees lead our eye successfully up the hill.

Salut Daniel,
Très beau poit de vue sur ce petit vilage typique. On comprends bien "los pueblos blancos" quand on voit ces murs blancs qui se détachent sur l'horizon. Tu as choisi un très bon premier plan avec ces champs d'oliviers. La lumière est superbe et donne à toute la scène un sentiment de quiétude superbe.
Une superbe image qui représente très bien la beauté de cette région d'Andalousie.

En visitant ta gallerie, je vois que j'ai fait quelques oublis... J'adore la compo de cette photo, la blancheur de cette ville parmis les oliviers qui scintillent. L'éclairage est splendide.
