Mr. Aqueduct goes for a walk

There are several pictures from this famous monument in Segovia but I want to add this angle in which we can see Mr. Aqueduct like a citizen more walking under the sun in a beautiful sunday afternoon.
Segovia, a small city close to Madrid (less than 100 km away) is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. It has an amazing density of cutural treasures and here you have an example of how these are naturally integrated into the daily life.
The aqueduct of Segovia is almost 2'000 years old. It is about 16 kilometres long and this part with arches (the bridge) is about 30 metres high. No mortar or concrete was used to built this jewel of the Roman art.
PP: I applied the shadows/light filter because people in the shade were difficult to see. Selecting the color of the sky, gaussian blur to eliminate noise. |

Clemente I have to say every time I see a photo of this Aqueduct I am still amazed over the accuracy and the length of time its been standing. Excellent details and this angle adds to the height of the monument. Good viewpoint!
Bonjour Clemente,
Great picture. The point of view is really intersting.

Vince

Hola Clemente.
Saludos, John
