Photographer’s Note

J+2 (or D+2 in English) of the second leg of the 2006 Tall Ships' Race, Bay of Biscay. After showing you so far some sea and sun (but no sex at all and do not expect any), now there are at least some sails : main sail, (white, with the gaskets), "trinquette" (orange, on the right) and the lower part (a very small bit) of the "grand flèche" (on top, with a strange yellow color). Clearly less impressive than a tall ship, but just to remind you that we are on a sailing ship and,due to the race's regulations, we are just allowed to sail.
For information, just note that this does not mean the engine is shut down all the time, this would have been to pleasant : we still have to use it for the generator several times a day, to get electricity (radio, GPS, fresh water, hot water, fridge and freezer, washing machine...). There are so many devices electrically powered nowadays... And do not think the small solar panels you have seen on small dinguies would be enough for that !
