A different skyline
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I reposted this picture to correct a tilt of the towers, which was noticed by our friend Gabriel Mendes (pitai).
-Rotate picture 1 degree clockwise
-Rebuilt the frame
-Add some saturation
-------------
Original note:
Perhaps when you read "skyline" you expect to see modern high rectangular blocks. This is not what Segovia offers. Instead of it you can see here the cathedral (considered Europe's last great Gothic cathedral) and the fortress of El Álcazar.
To take this picture I drove some kilometres in the car and used a long lens. Unbelievable that nothing hindered this view.
All what you see belongs to the old city and is listed as World Heritage by Unesco. On the other edge of the old city there is the famous acqueduct which is almost 2'000 years old, has 167 arches and more than 20'000 granite blocks which are not united by concrete.
It was the seventh day of my travel to Lusitania and already returning home. Altough Segovia is not placed on the old Lusitania Roman province, it is worth a visit.
PP: Although there was not too much noise in the sky I tried something to reduce it. I selected with Color selection the sky. Then I applied blur to the color layers that had more noise. |

Hello Clemente,
it is really imposing this cathedral. The composition is superb, but I find that it misses a little sharpness, it is perhaps due to the increase in saturation, which is a little too marked with my taste.
Regards, Dino.
Beautiful architecture and landscape. Informative notes. Regards, Mehmet...
what a beautiful scenery, clemente! :-)
i really like the crowded place, so many nice buildings
close together - i thought it was one big castle.
excellent composition and pov.

Hej Clemente,
Very nice picture with the many towers of these buildings as well as many other fine details. The composition is good and also the light's very nice. I like it, well done!
Hilsen,
Lars
Hola Clemente.
Hola Clemente
