Santa Mariña Dozo Ruins III
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Continuation of the interesting ruins of Santa Mariña Dozo.
Of a romanic style, on a hillock protected by a lost castle, are the ruins of the ogival church. The site, converted into an open-air cemetery under the roofless arches, has a very mysterious 19th century feel to it.
The temple, with five lateral chapels and one single ship of arcs, came to crown by the end of century XV by impulse of Doña Maria de Ulloa (Mrs. of Cambados, mother of III the Fonseca).
Left unfinished and in the middle of century XIX, the emaciated bones of their ruins, declared Historical-Artistic Monument in 1943, today lodges the peace of the quiet cementery. |

the incorporation of the nature and the natural material of the stone constructed by the human is a harmony of the eyes...the pov and the managment of the light make the foto varius..is well presented foto ......!!un abraco Nikiforos

Hi Rita,
This is a very impressive photo of these ruins. The angle from wich you took it from, makes it very strong.
The bright green of the leaves in front and the beautiful clear blue sky are a good contrast against the natural colour of this bulding.
I like your notes to, they are very informative.
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings, Nel
Hello Rita,
Not bad the tight framing.
Good to still have a foreground with the vegetable here.
