Sitges, the charming seaside resort 20 km South of Barcelona has become one of the favorite destinations of the gay comunity in the Mediterranean. This nice and quiet little beach "Playa del Muerto" at the farest end of the resort, reachable only on foot is ideal place to get a seamless tan in a relaxed atmosphere ... and as the handwritten poster says it is the oldest gay beach in the world since 1930 (see ws).
The rainbow flag is the international symbol of the GLBT comunity. (GLBT = gay lesbian bisexual transgender)

PP: Seeing the image online now, I notice I have exagerated the colour saturation, probably inconsciuously to enhance the colours of the flag ... but I like to leave it as it is.

Hallo Guenther, the composition and colors are great. The oversaturatio doesn't bother me at all. My concern are the overexposed reflections of the sea. You could avoided it with the simple use of a cir polarizing filter and would have gotten a saturated blue sky and turquoise sea ... w/o reflections.
Gruss, Peter

Hola Guenther. Me gusta mucho.

Angel.

Bonjour mon ami Guenther,
Philippe

Hi Guenther,
It's not that usual to see beach photos from you ;-)
The overlooking PoV looks fine to me here to deliver a comprehensive view of this little beach and from the plants on both sides of the path perspective leading to it I guess the place is warmer than Südtirol... On my monitor the colors do not look overly saturated (I've seen much worse here on TE !) but help the flag stand out against the sea.
Have a nice day,
JEan-Yves

Hi Guenther,

I learned today again something out of your note, I know this flag not!
A very lovely exotic beach, small but very beautiful with plants and the lovely sea view.
Thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
John

Hi Guenther - I think the saturation is fine, the only place where it's too much is at the upper right corner where the green has a "radioactive" glow, the rest is as should be, I like teh way the flag stands out against the water.

Hi Günther,
I didn't expect the first gay beach in Spain. Good to know. Seems to be a good and nice place.
The colour saturation of your image doesn't bother. I like it this way ... and I love the rainbow flag.
Thanks for sharing,
Nino

Hello Guenther
You arrived to Barcelona when I left for France. The next time, you say to me your project maybe we could meet.
I met Carlos in Barcelona, it was a very good moment.
About Sitges, I am very happy to see this beach in photo with its flag rainbow.
Colors on my screen are very beautiful, notably turquoise of the sea.
I also liked the WS with the panel :o)

A suggestion: why not to put this photo also in the category " daily life "?
