To take this photo I was inspired by Jinju's classic Burger King feet shot.
This was taken in the Barcelona Metro as someone was hurrying on to their destination.
The barcelona metro is dark, therefore it is difficlut to capture moving objects whithout a tripod.
The floor of the barcelona metro is made out of tiles.
People in Barcelona are always in a hurry.
The jeans and shoes that this person is wearing cost the equivalent to an african farmer's yearly profits.

I told you that totally blurred shots dont always work on your photo from a few days ago..well here it works. The blur gives this feeling that everything is in a big rush, and you note that right in your note. My eyes keep dancing over this shot and th whole thing seems to be moving. Good work, and thanks for the mention!

Super job ion this one, Daniel, and a fitting tribute to Jinju for sure. I agree with the man completely: here your blurry approach works wonders. Nice tonaliteis too. It's great to see you experimenting this way.

I'm really sorry, but I just don't get this at all.
Maybe it's arty, but what does it teach me about Barcelona? What am I supposed to learn about the world from this? That people in Barcelona hurry to their destination?
I appreciate that I'm opening myself up for abuse, but I just dont see that this type of image fits on Trekearth. Sorry.

diferent composicion, con bueno pov y un interessante borron

I like the Focus on this shot but i am not sure it is as good as it could be.
I feel that it is a little too blurry. I realize that photographing moving things in darker areas is difficult but i still think this could have been much sharper if it was taken outdoors rather than in the subway.
nice POV though.

i like the shot. it's an interesting photo.
richard has opened a can of worms and i think it's a justified point of view. his remark is somewhat reactionary though because jinju was critical of his photos for not being arty enough. haha!
that's quite a conundrum. trek earth is about LEARNING through PHOTOGRAPHY.
where is the learning in this shot? where is the learning in your note?
and then there's me ... i do submit shots like this sometimes and i do like shots such as this. it's clever and creative. even if it holds very little educational value! :)

It is a grafical beautiful photo.
Barcelona is a dynamic city. I find this dynamism in these feet.
Barcelona is an urban city and the quays of subway are crossed in a way different that the feet from the Africans in savanna.
I like it very much.

my lesson from this picture is the following:
it is hard to photograph in barcelona's metro all right,
it is good to experiment,
it would have been better to reduce the lens by 1 or 2 stops and "freez" the movement a bit more, not it misses the point a bit (terefore i'm lowering the score this time);
and another thing: let us experiment (in metro or wherever) and have fun with the places :-))

Daniel, I trick I have learned when shooting in this kind or poor light conditions is that instead of trynig to hold the camera still, move the camera with the subject. It does take a little practice, but then the movement is part of the creation of the image, not a mistake. I like what you are trynig to do here anyway, it has the it factor.

I like this photo, I think the blur looks good against the repetitive squares and lines, and the stance the person is in makes them look drunk which fits into the blur. Nice work.

No sabía que unos pies dieran tanto juego la verdad...
Me encanta lo qué has conseguido y más teniendo en cuenta, y bien que haces en decirlo, lo complicado para esto que es nuestro metro... :P
Un saludo, Oscar

Funny Daniel, this movement blur, it made me think more at this shot
and you maintained a fine coloring in it, ok maybe less TE but inspirational artistic technique of a detail of the metro in Barcelona.
fabio_ts (13696) 2006-06-12 8:26
Oh yes, ..really in Rafal style.. :o)
great work Daniel, I like it a lot.. BRAVO!!
have a nice week,

Very jinju this one - probably very good in the series 'learn of the world by shooting feets'
Good, creative job, excellent choice of tech to have the fine perfect blur in this one.. Good work

Ah! Here are the "blurry feet in a metro station" that have been talked about these days!
Well, I have to say I quite like it. I like blurry pictures when blur means something, here I feel as if the feet were dancing, as if life in Barcelona was full of lightness and joy, even in small daily life situations.
Maybe you could have cropped a bit at the top to avoid the dark spot in the upper left corner.
