Tourists in Altea - Main Street Photo

Photographer’s Note

Probably my last picture of this small travel and travelogue. Also last day of it. If don't know this Spanish zone, it is highly recomendable: people, ambient day and night and kms and kms of beaches.

Altea one of the most beautiful cities along the Costa Blanca with about 15000 habitants. About 15km north of Benidorm and just south of Calpe, Altea is one of the view villages which maintained most of the former fishing village flair of the past times.

Famous for its church Nuestra Senora del Consuelo or Virgen de Consuelo with its fantastic looking blue roof. One of the view places along the Coast, Altea center still gives you this kind of Spanish Mediterranean village look.

In summer, tourist crowd streets walking up and down to admire it beautifulness.

Hola Pablo! Es una sorpresa! justo el mismo lugar y por lo que leo la foto tan reciente y con mucha más vida que cuando yo la tomé (era , la mía , Junio por la hora de las siestas de fin de semana que aquí se extienden casi hasta el atardecer ) . El pueblo es precioso , muy pequeñito , pero es interesante sobretodo con ese contraste Benidorm , Altea a tan pocos kms .Esas playas están bien , no muy lejos a unos 30 kms , por Xàbia , La granadella y Portixol son de mis calas preferidas , casi como las de Ibiza . Que fantástica foto y diferente ambientación . Saludos a ti, a Donosti y a Ataun ;)
