Photographer’s Note

The Monfrague National Park is the best-known raptor site in Spain. This park is located in the Tagus valley in the Province of Extremadura and is characterized by Mediterranean forests, that is a landscape modelled by human impacts through cattle raising and production of cork from cork oak trees.
On this rock in the picture are breeding 3 species of vultures, including black vulture, very rare in Europe.
