Frontage near Park Guell Photo

Photographer’s Note

Barcelona - the street which goes up to the Guell Park, right before arriving at the entry of the Park.
A house on the right.
Barcelona is rich of its famous villas: The Batllò, the Pedrera, The Calvet...
But it's possible also find, while walking, pretty small houses whose occupants have, with much taste, successful decoration.
The frontage of this one is decorated with colors which, at first sight, are not harmonized well.
However I liked, at the first glance, the tone selected here and I took this shot.
Framing is a little too tight on the right with my taste.
I could find excuses, it does not have there, I missed my blow it above!
It will be necessary to turn over there low!

Georges, you are too critic to yourself! I agree with you, there's no much space on the right side but this shot is really beautiful, it catch you just from the thumbnail.
A good eye to see this armony of colors.

Les couleurs sont éclatantes et lumineuses. J'aime beaucoup les lignes de la photo.
Depuis mon passage à Burano, je suis encore plus sensible à ce genre de photo très colorée.

Lovely, almost abstract combination off colored surfaces. Well balanced compo, very sharp too. The green plants are a nice detail between the other purple/red colors. Good contast.

Ah famseuse Barcelone, ville incroyable. cette maison a de bien joliers couleurs, je sais pas si c'est trop serre, mais je trouve l'image tres agreable a l'oeil.

My goodness, the colors of this are rich and vivid, very illustrative of Spanish fire and passion, like an Almodovar movie! I also like the balance (which I can only describe as beyond balance).

Voila une ville que j'adore particulièrement, et une image qui lui va à merveille, car si gaudi est souvent le porte drapeau, des images simples et belles comme celle-ci, l'évoquent e merveille.

when I was in Spain in 1973, I asked a housewife tending a small hotel in Barcelona why they have colorful houses. She told me, "In Spain we love colors and second I do not want my house to look like a hospital!" I think it gives it character. A nicely composed photo Georges.

merci Georges de ton passage dans mes salades qui me permet de découvrir à mon tout, ton album.
J'ai été attiré par cette photo très colorée, sans doute que les couleurs ne s'harmonisent pas (encore que,ça dépend des goûts) en tout cas j'ai réagi comme toi, il se passe quelque chose. J'aime bien ton cadrage, même si tu le trouves raté. La disposition des éléments et les parties colorées sont impec. C'est excellent, c'est très graphique... et avec du tempérament ! Ca me plaît
à la prochaine
