[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The temple dates back many centuries, but has only existed as a Christian church since the nineteenth century.
The temple was actually built on top of a Muslim mosque, and before that it had been a church in the sixth century during the reign of the Visigoth King Recaredo. King San Fernando and the archbishop began building the new church in 1226. The fifteen chapels of the ambulatory were subsequently completed. In the year 1300 the transept nave was completed, although work continued on the church for the next two centuries. The church has five naves and measures 120 metres long and 59 metres wide. The roof is supported by 88 columns

Interesting upward angle on the old cathedral, Fred. The ornate decorative elements are well shown, and I particularly like the detail with the shadow of the iron grid in front of the window at the bottom.

Bonjour Fred,
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Bonjour Fred: What an interesting note, I did not know so much about this place, I see you got time to see a lot of places around... This composition gives a clear idea of the temple. Congratulations.

Hey Fred. Holy Toledo that's a great church! :) This place sure has an interesting history. You have so eloquently captured the beauty of this church. I see specks in the sky. That isn't dust on your new camera is it?? Keep shooting!

Salut Fred,

Philippe

Bonjour Fred

I like the low pov looking up, & the superb graphism of the darker tower against the lighter sky. C'est tres bon!

Salut Fred,

Bien vu.
Jean-Luc
