Photographer’s Note
This photo is very typical Barri Gòtic or Gothic Quarter photograph. I was quite surprised I did not find it from TrekEarth Barcelona gallery, but also happy, because it allowed me to be first and post this one. The photo is taken in the vicinity of the cathedral and Plaça Sant Jaume
The Gothic Quarter is the core of the medieval city which was bounded by walls until the middle of 19th century. It's a fantastic part of town - antique shops, bookshops, nice restaurants, cafes and breathtakingly beautiful architecture.
Since the contrast between shadows and sunshine was so big I had to correct levels in order to make the shadows lighter and preserve the color od the sky.

Hi Lennart, I like the medieval feel of this photo. Ive missed Barcelona on my travels, but it looks like I must go. Infact I have to go to Europe again with my digital camera. The condition here had to be difficult what with the large difference in light, shadows and bright sun. So you managged it very well and got a good photo with a good composition.

Serwus Lennart!
Mysterious place with powerful architecture. Nice composition of this narrow street shown in twilight.
Great point of view, nice details.
Very best regards,
