Chacha cha

It’s often said that architecture is frozen music. A cliché perhaps but OK, it’s a very fitting way to describe the feeling the rhythm of the lines and angles in a building give you. Some times the rhythm of these elements is so strong and repetitive that buildings even can invoke a dance like feeling. Like in this case - a Latin dance feeling ;-)

Displayed here is the top part of a side facade of the Ayamonte (Huelva, Spain) bus station. Another Ayamonte pic is here.

Chacha cha is a song from the Cuban ‘Son’ outfit ‘Asere’ from their 1997 ‘Cuban Soul’ album – highly recommended

PCS tech: The Oly 8080 is set between 50 and 100 ASA a relatively noise free cam. But when you play with levels and saturation a lot as I did here, there will still appear some noise, so after adjusting the contrast, levels & saturation differentially, I selected the sky and ran the median noise filter set @ 8, selected the large shadow area, (in both cases with ythe magic wand set @ 20) desaturated it a bit and ran the despeckle filter. The other steps were: correcting for perspective distortion; cropping; USM-ing.
