Photographer’s Note
This guy is on TE already, from 2003, I thought it worth a second post, if only to show that he's still there, though he seems to have had a change a clothes since then. I thought he was the funniest of all. Standing completely still, but looking like he was a in a terrific hurry.

Hi Richard, good photo of a funny running-and-standing-still guy! Never saw him in Barcelona.. wish I had, he looks crazy. Will have a better look next time I'm there.
Do you know what he did with his tie and jacket to keep it that way? He must earn tens of euros each day by people who want to take photos, as his image maybe even works better on photographs then in real..
Nice one!

It is an artist, but the way you photographed him in this fantastic action, is how you show the world these days, always busy and no time for some rest, really good shot, the right moment !

These street performers who remain completely still are amazing, this one more so because he has manage to inject movement into his "still life" with his dress. Quality of image is excellent.

J'aime beaucoup me promener à Barcelone. Et il est n'est pas rare de voir ces gendre de statues humaines. Mais là tu as très bien saisi le bon moment. Superbe.

RIchard...very funny! lol--how can he stay like this for hours?? And how does he make his clothes fly like this? Some wires inside to keep them like this? Crazy! :-)
Greetings.. Léonie

Yes, that guy certainly merits additional coverage on TE, Richard. A fun "living artwork" on the busy street, and the way in which the coat and the tie seem to be waving in the wind looks pretty realistic. Perhaps again a shallower DOF would have been possible but it works fine as it is.

Hi richard
I think this guy is not only on your reference, but several more places, at least I am very familiar with him from TE. Still you got a nice variance, good, clear shot of this figure - mayvbe a little more worn out in his dress..

Hi Richard, very nice catch, (forgot to rate it yesterday). I remembered him, this must be so tiring! The muscles in hif face and his gith leg like that!
I think a shallower Dof would have made him stand out a bit more.

I don't know, comparing the two I got the impression you made him less statue more integrated in his surroundings, everything frozen .... he didn(t changes glasses and shoes, indeed a very tempting shot, here all sharp and clear colors, obvious the quality of your camera is a big differance.

Amusing shot - without knowing the background you would take it as a well captured action shot!

Incredibly dynamic for a movement frozen by both the camera and the performer.
Up to now I have been too shy to criticise any of your pictures. I was so impressed by this one that I jump in. I wonder if it is feasible to blur the background to increase the feeling of movement. I'm too novice in PP to risk it.

Hi Richard,
I'm impressed by the effort this person put into his clothing, it can't be easy to get the tie stand like that. Kind of boring job though, to stand like this for at least two years. It's interesting to compare your version with the previous one. They offer two totally different perspectives. Both make the picture look accidental at a first glance, but when you look at it for a few seconds you notice the exaggeration. Here you got the grey tones of everyday life and the empty street behind him making his stress look even more exaggerated.

Bonjour Richard
Cet homme est devenu célèbre grâce aux membres de TE.
J'apprécie grandement ce genre de composition humoristique.
C'est une scène prise à un bon moment décisif.
C'est hilarant !
Hello Richard
This man became famous thanks to the TE members. I appreciate this kind of humorous composition largely. It is a scene taken at a good decisive time. It is laughing!

Hi Richard
Excellent capture from one of my favourite places although I haven't seen this guy before. I like how the guy and the car are in opposite directions. Great details.
