Près des remparts de Séville,
Chez mon ami, Lillas Pastia
J'irai danser la Séguedille
Et boire du Manzanilla.
J'irai chez mon ami Lillas Pastia.
Oui, mais toute seule on s'ennuie,
Et les vrais plaisirs sont à deux;
Donc, pour me tenir compagnie,
J'emmènerai mon amoureux!
I am alone in Seville but I am so busy making photos and sightseeing, nothing boring :).
I had no Internet connection for two day, disaster for me :). In meantime, I was in Cadiz and then I had wonderful day with Angel and his wife in Jerez de la Frontera, but I will write about this and post photos later. Yesterday I came to Sevilla. It was busy day, visiting Alcazar, climbing Giralda, all in a very hot day. In the evening I went to Plaza Espana for blue hour shots. Again, I had to wait till ten p.m. but then it was magical.
This is the scene from the street. There are flamenco shows but I do not know yet if I will go to see one.
The night version in Workshop.
I dedicate this photo for Deniz.

Lovely composition with the Flamenco dancer and the guitarist with excellent colours and sharpness. Flamenco is of special interest to me as it bears striking similarities with the Indian dance form of 'Kathak'. Both are said to have same or similar origins through the Romani gypsies who emigrated from India and entered Spain via Eastern Europe sometime in the 11th century. Flamenco music too (the vocals) has a melodic structure which is in some ways similar to the Indian raga 'Sindhu Bhairavi'.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture.

credo che sia la foto gusta per inviarci a vedere le foto del tuo nuovo viaggio.
Non potevi scegliere scena migliore per far capire di quale regione si tratta.
Bello scatto, colorato e dinamico.
Buon proseguimento e buon divertimento

Something we missed when we were in Seville about eleven years ago. A fine well composed image with excellent light and colours. I like the facial expressions though I am not sure whether they are part of the act:-)

Seville, la ville idéale pour ce genre de démonstration. J'aime beaucoup le cadrage qui inclue le joueur de guitare et la très belle pose prise par la dame.

Two fine shots. This one has fine tones of red, even in the black part of the woman's dress. You have placed them well and snapped the photo at a fine moment when there is a lot of vigour in the woman's gestures. The light is still very good.

sevilla, setting to many operas. the reason is simply understandable: it is a land of love and passion, to the deepest core, carmen being one of the most famous representers of that fashion. a good start for the sevilla series, with the most deliberate form of the passion in there: flamenco. in the bg, i started listening to bizet's notes. thanks for the dedication and the music. have a lovely vacation :)

Hola Miss Globetrotter,
Glad you survived such a traumatic couple of days without internet, glad to have you back. :) What a great capture this is, full of spirit and gusto! A street scene being played out, literally, worth being photographed...so it's a good thing you've been keeping yourself busy in that regard. A lively and fun image that conveys very well the countries exuberance for dance. Keep traveling safe. Be well.

A very good picture with action and movements. The pair here, with a fine colour harmony, are a good contrast against the straight lines in the background.

flamengo in the street? Great. Nice the snapshot with the two artists in the street to do their show for earn living.A really difficult circumastances to do someone to live with decency.

Twice a flamenco in the streets without having to reserve an expensive seat.
Well composed and excellent sharp!
BTW gazpacho is eaten in summertime but sometimes you can find it in another season.
I've neither seen the canvases in Lario Street but if you go there during the blue hour or even later, the street looks brilliant with lot of light reflections on the pavement (of course between the many visitors).
Best regards, Paul

Ciao cara Itchy Feet
Oooh I love the flamenco, there is so much drama, and passion. I was very lucky to see it many times in Andalusia, the best time was in the street in Granada. This beautiful photo brings it all back for me. Excellent freezing of the action and good sharp colours and contrasts. Brava!
